DCA Research Library
The Department of Culture and the Arts Library holds a small collection focussing on arts research, the development of arts polices and subject matter which supports the work of the department.
The collection includes books, serials, annual reports, and indexed articles. Subject areas include National and International Arts Policies, Cultural Statistics, Directories of Grants, Philanthropy and Arts Awards, information on Creativity and Cultural Industries, Sustainability and the Arts, and Economics and the Arts.
Special books include Grants Register 2008: the Complete Guide to Postgraduate Funding Palgrave Macmillan: Hampshire, UK 2007. This directory contains worldwide listings of over 4,000 awards from 62 countries.
Visitors, inter-library loans and other loans
The library is open by appointment for research. Please phone or email to arrange a suitable time. The collection is available to visitors for reference; external borrowing is via inter-library loan. Photocopying is available and copyright restrictions apply.
Please contact your local public, workplace, college or university to organise an inter-library loan. Inter-library loan requests are accepted from other libraries by phone, fax or email. Payment may be made by Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) vouchers.
Individuals unable to visit the library, and without access to inter-library loans, may send requests for photocopies.
