Philanthropy Incentive Program
The Philanthropy Incentive Program encourages individuals, groups and businesses to establish prescribed private funds, foundations or other charitable trusts in order to boost philanthropy to the arts.
The Program enables the Department of Culture and the Arts to make a contribution of up to 7.5 per cent of the initial capital amount of an eligible fund to an arts organisation of the fund’s choice. This contribution is capped at $50,000 and will give due recognition to the fund.
To be eligible, new funds must comply with certain criteria, which include the requirement that a fund be established with an initial capital contribution of $500,000 or more.
Expressions of interest are sought on an ongoing basis from individuals, groups or businesses who wish to establish new funds to participate in this Program.
